      We are recruiting for this contract role on behalf of Hines, a global real estate client, with an online platform and a marketplace for premium, work-ready offices.

      This new venture within Hines is dedicated to addressing the issue of workforce loneliness by reigniting the joy of real-life interactions through vibrant communities and carefully crafted environments. Our approach involves establishing a network of dynamic communities and thoughtfully curated spaces that empower professionals to connect, collaborate, and thrive in all aspects of their lives.

      We’re building an asset-light network of active communities and curated spaces designed to empower professionals to connect, collaborate, and flourish across their whole lives – maximizing activation of under-utilized spaces.

      From there, the venture General Manager will focus and be accountable for the overall business, establishing priorities and driving progress, managing individuals and filling the key hires. They will also oversee product and go-to-market efforts with the respective leaders, signing early customers, and reporting progress to and fundraising with the Venture Board.

      The venture will operate independently under the umbrella of the Hines Venture Lab, and will manage the relationship with the Venture Board, Global Venture Lab and other stakeholders in the parent company.

      This is a 12-month contract position, with an opportunity to convert to full-time.

      The Role

      • Go-to-Market Strategy - develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy to drive customer adoption and revenue growth.
      • Customer Acquisition - lead all customer acquisition efforts and drive the expansion of our client base.
      • Pilot Client Management - manage relationships with the first few pilot clients, ensuring their success and satisfaction.
      • Team Leadership - build and lead a high-performing go-to-market team.
      • Strategic Partnerships - identify and establish strategic partnerships to accelerate market penetration.
      • Leverage Hines’ ‘mothership advantage’ - understand Hines’ network, ecosystem and partners to accelerate venture outcomes.

      Requirements

      • Demonstrated capabilities in developing, leading and driving communities and community engagement – evidenced through startup experience, and/or other industry expertise (e.g., hospitality).
      • Proven experience as a founder or co-founder of at least one successful startup, ideally in an area related or relevant to the built world, space .
      • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of driving business growth in a start-up environment.
      • Comfortable building and pivoting a venture.
      • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
      • Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to build and evolve relationships with investors and stakeholders.
      • Experience in fundraising, investor relations, and financial management.
      • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
      • Ability to work in a European time zone.
